30 day yoga challenge

I'm giving myself a little challenge.  It's not too rough because it's sort of what I've already been doing for a few days.  Here's the challenge:

30 days of yoga
Goal:  One hour of yoga every day for 30 consecutive days.
Latitude: can be done in 2 sessions in one day if necessary  Get 2 'off days' within the 30.
Pay off:  1.  Knowing that I did it, which is huge; and 2. Seeing how my health, flexibility, stamina and body shape changes from this mode of movement.

Anyone want to take this challenge with me?  I will be tracking on Daily Mile, but am also willing to track another way if others want to join!

  1. I'm in! My only caveat is that, if I get a vertigo spell, I'm not so much doing the yoga lol I track through loseit.com--it posts directly to my fb stream, so you'll be able to see me doing it :)

  2. An hour a day (even broken up) is not a feasible feat for me right now... not with a 10 month old! I have not been doing any yoga, or any exercise for that matter, so I figure any amount will be an improvement. I will commit to 30 days of some amount of yoga! :)

  4. I'm in! 6 days a week. 3 days are 40 mins in the morning and 20 mins in the evening. The other three days are just the 20 mins in the evening.

    Namaste.

  6. Hey...starting today...yay! Thanks for coming up with this challenge.

Last summer I really got into Yin Yoga...love it and was going to yoga classes 3 to 4x a week. One piece of that was a daoist yoga practice that I found really intriguing. It's kind of a flow yoga that is very slow and, I don't know, the energy is very different from ashtanga...

Anyhoodle. That's what I'm going to focus on during these 30 days!
